GO FOR NMB BANK LOANS, CONTRACTORS URGED

NMB Bank Chief Executive Officer, Ruth Zaipuna (centre) visits Standard Gauge Railway in Misungwi District, Mwanza Region on Monday shortly after President Samia Suluhu Hassan inaugurated the construction of the 341 km Mwanza to Isiaka line stretch. The bank is partnering with the government through Tanzania Railways Corporation to pay compensation to the locals, whose areas have been annexed in the project.

NMB Bank PLC has invited contractors implementing medium to long-term projects to get access to loans without collateral in a bid to complete their work on time.

The call was made on Monday by NMB Bank Chief Executive Officer, Ruth Zaipuna during a press conference shortly after President Samia Suluhu Hassan laid the foundation stone for the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project from Fela area in Mwanza region to Isaka in Shinyanga region.

Ms. Zaipuna said the loans to contractors were part of the bank's partnership with the government in the implementation of strategic development projects.
