AIRTEL AND TPB BANK PARTNER TO OFFER SOLUTIONS FOR DIGITAL FINANCIAL SERVICES IN TANZANIA

Dar es Salaam March 4 2021 - Airtel Tanzania has announced a new partnership with TPB Bank with the aim of improving and expanding digital financial services in Tanzania such as paying LUKU, DStv and Government utilities like Dawasco and many more.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam today while announcing the partnership between Airtel and TPB Bank, Airtel Money Director Isack Nchunda said “The partnership we are entering into today will greatly help improve the services we provide by benefiting our Airtel Money agents located everywhere in the country where TPB Bank has a branch. Also Airtel Money Customers will now be sure to make their transactions absolutely secure wherever they are such as saving or withdrawing money from TPB Bank directly into their Airtel Money accounts in order to make various service payments such as LUKU, water bills, DStv or paying Government utilities.

Nchunda added that agents now do not need to carry cash or travel long distances to get cash (float), now they will be services at any TPB Branch and this will greatly help in saving time and money that they spent as travel expenses - now it's faster and safer. Our partnership with TPB Bank aims to promote innovation in the provision of digital financial services by reducing the impact on our agents or clients when traveling long distances to access services, they will now get the same services at any TPB Bank branch which is closer to them and make all digital transactions via Airtel Money to bank or from bank to Airtel Money.

Our partnership will continue to fulfill our commitment to partners aimed at providing affordable, fast, unlimited services to meet the daily needs of our customers, added Nchunda.

Speaking at the same time TPB bank Director of Internet Services, Jema Msuya, said that those who have access to banking services and who have not been reached by banking services wherever they are as they will now receive online services and make digital payments.

“Every time TPB Bank comes up with a more innovative service our goal is to add or provide more solutions to our customers as well as provide them with affordable services while focusing on quality. Our partnership with Airtel Money demonstrates our commitment to providing ambitious, secure services regardless of boundaries services wherever you are. Each of our customers can access our services with their mobile phone from this partnership now.” said Msuya

In order for our agent or Client to access this service he or she will need to visit our TPB Bank branch and fill out a special service form and start enjoying our services by dialling *150*60# then; 
  • Select 0 - Add Money.
  • Select 2 - Transfer from Bank.
  • Select 4 - TPB Bank and follow the Instructions.
