JUNACO Group of Companies has launched its new product, FirePro Aerosol Fire Suppression System, in the quest to find the alternative solution for fire suppression.

According to the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Justine Lambert, the new product is yet another milestone in finding the solution for fire suppression that has become a social and economic menace in the recent times.

The official launching was graced by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Home Affairs, Ambassador Hassan Simba Yahaya on behalf of the Minister for Home Affairs Mr Mwigulu Nchemba.

“In recent years fire incidences have become a daily disaster causing huge damages and loses to properties and lives,’’ said Mr Lambert. He added that it was always the duty of the responsible private sector to look out for solutions that go a long way to support the government to alleviate such challenges.

Mr Lambert said the entry of FirePro into the Tanzanian market apart from contributing towards addressing the challenges of fire incidences thus reducing loses and damages to people’s lives and properties, will also have the impact on creating direct and indirect jobs. “Therefore, the impact of the launch of FirePro in the Tanzanian market has relevance and social, economic and political impacts,’’ he insisted.

In the next four years, Junaco Group of Companies expects to create 780 jobs, according to Mr Lambert, because the company’s business model will involve appointing dealers at regional and district levels for reselling and installations of FirePro.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary said the Fifth Phase Government was keen to embrace any new technology that provides solution to fire incidences. He encouraged the company to take advantage of the investment opportunities to set up a factory for manufacturing the solutions for the African market.

“The entry of FirePro in the Tanzanian market will obviously have an impact on social and economy because the business model you have eluded today has estimated to create almost 800 jobs and I believe that if you set up the manufacturing plant in Tanzania, the job impacts will be huge coupled with the economic benefits.

According to FirePro Business Development Manager, Mr George Michael, the new technology was one of the best in the Least Development Countries (LDCs) and that it was environmental friendly.
