DSE Market Turnover for Week Ending 11th November, 2016
The week ending Friday 11th November, 2016 recorded a weekly
market turnover of TZS 6.4 Billion, down by 23% from last week's market
turnover of TZS 8.3 Billion.
The volume of shares traded also increased 6 times this week to 11
Million shares, up from the previous week which closed at 1.8 Million shares
traded. The market leaders in volume traded were CRDB at 95.45%, TBL at 2.18%
and DSE at 1.44% of total volume of shares traded (i.e. of the 11 million
shares traded).

Friday 11th November saw the DSE Total Market Cap decline
by 2.1% at TZS 21.4 Trillion compared to the previous Friday recorded cap of
TZS 21.9 Trillion. Domestic market capitalization also decreased by 0.3% from
TZS 8.21 Trillion to TZS 8.19 Trillion. This was also demonstrated by a 54-point
decrease equivalent to a 2.1% drop on the DSEI index which represents all
shares listed on the DSE.
