CLOUDS MEDIA INTERNATIONAL OPENS OFFICE IN JAMAICA

Clouds Media CEO, Joseph Kusaga.

Abu Dhabi based Clouds Media International has announced the opening of a new office in Kingston, Jamaica that will serve clients in the Caribbean and also open the region for additional business opportunities for the Clouds Media portfolio of companies.
According to Clouds Media CEO, Joseph Kusaga, this move was planned over 24 months ago as part of Clouds long term strategy to position itself to compete globally across several sectors including content aggregation and distribution, Mobile/VAS (Value Added Services), Event Production & Marketing, as well as Strategic Market Access, Solar Power, and Broadcast Media, which Clouds is most commonly known for.
Kusaga said that Jamaica and the Caribbean as a whole presents a new market opportunity for Clouds. "We are always thinking globally as to how we can enter markets where we can gain market share and create sustainable business on the ground," said Kusaga. "In Jamaica and the Caribbean we see so many opportunities and markets for Clouds many products and services," said Kusaga.
The Jamaica operation seeks to be fully operational by October 1st of this year.
Less than one year ago Clouds Media International opened offices in Abu Dhabi to oversee international growth as well as to develop a media presence in the Middle East. Earlier this year, Kusaga announced the launch of Clouds TV International (CTVI), which is based at the Media Zone Authority of Abu Dhabi and is the first and only TV station in the Middle East offering urban & African programming. Also from their Abu Dhabi offices Clouds via their Status Communications brand manages international strategic market access projects for global brands entering African markets.
The operation in Jamaica, trading as Clouds International,  will be headed by Kingston native, reggae music producer and businessman, Dean Mundy who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience not only from the island of Jamaica but from across the Caribbean as a whole. According to Mundy, the announcement was years in the making and marks a strategic opportunity for Clouds.
"I met Joe and the team from Clouds over a decade ago while visiting Dar es Salaam for Fiesta.  I knew then that this was an organization that we wanted to work with but at the time we just did not know how but now the time is right and the opportunities are clear and we are ready to make great things happen in Jamaica," said Mundy.
Beyond Clouds Media, Status Communications, Primetime International, and Ray's Solar will also operate out of the Kingston office.  Status Communications will focus on Mobile/VAS, Content Aggregation & Distribution, as well as corporate communications and strategic market access. Primetime International will focus on concert production as well as artist bookings, while Ray's Solar will tap into the booming solar energy market across the Caribbean.
Status Communications CEO, Omar Salisbury, who recently visited the Kingston offices said that the potential in the Caribbean is vast. "I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw in Jamaica and I quickly realized that this is a great market for us to operate in. I never cease to be amazed by Joe's (Kusaga) vision for our organization and believe me I am more than happy to have a presence in Kingston. I look forward to extending Status Communications and Clouds Media's reach to Jamaica and onward to the Caribbean as a whole," said Salisbury.
