TANZANIA COMMERCIAL BANK APPOINTS DANIEL MBOTTO AS DIRECTOR OF CREDIT

Tanzania Commercial Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel F Mbotto as the Director of Credit effective immediately.

Mr. Mbotto, over the last two decades has been instrumental in driving growth and development of the banking sector. He comes in as a fundamental asset to the bank as he boasts over 16 years of honed experience in Strategic Leadership for Financial Institutions across the country.

He has served as Chief Credit Officer, NMB Bank PLC for 3 years during which he provided strategic leadership oversight, risk appetite setting, innovation to digital lending, sustainability and cultural transformation of work ethics. Additionally, he led in the management of a profitable lending portfolio in East Africa with a book size of $3.4bn at a cost of risk of less than 1.2%.

Prior to NMB Bank PLC, he served as Head of Credit, Stanbic Bank Tanzania managing CIB Credit including origination, credit management of Corporates and Investment Banking for international and local clients. Mr Mbotto brings to the table, close to two decades worth of skills and experience as he has worked for multiple banks, both countrywide and globally, especially serving in the capacity of Head of Credit.

Mr. Mbotto holds a 1st class Honors Bachelor in Business Management, specializing in Finance Management from Mysore University, India as well as a 1st class Honors Diploma in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing from College of Business Education, Tanzania.
