COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION WIN THE KAYMU UNI GRUDGE MATCH

Kaymu Tanzania, the leading online shopping site in the Tanzania, sponsored last Friday’s monthly Bball Kitaa main event – the 1-year anniversary game - branded the "Kaymu Uni Grudge Match" played between The College of Business education (CBE) and University of Dar-es-salaam (UDSM) , where CBE won the match by 31-59. The term grudge was used due to the two teams’ local rivalry (CBE won the first matchup earlier this year).

The winning team went home with 1 million Tanzanian Shillings. T-shirts, basketball shoes and a one hundred thousand raffle prize were also given away to fans throughout the game.

Speaking after the game, Angaza Nkurlu, Kaymu Tanzania's Head of Marketing as well as the initiator of this event, says " Congratulations to CBE who won today, it was a very competitive and entertaining night, We are very proud of having sponsored this game, we believe our mission and principals correspond to what Bball kitaa are doing through basketball that's why we decided to partner with them and make this happen", he continues “We are excited to have been part of this, as a key aspect of our overall university outreach, this age group can benefit greatly with both sports, online shopping and the potential to sell.

We also caught up with the CBE captain, Murshid Mudricat- "We believed in ourselves from the start, and we absolutely deserved to win, on behalf of my teammates and CBE  would like to thank the fans who came through tonight to support us and Kaymu for sponsoring our game, we really enjoyed ourselves.

The match which was also used as an initiative to promote basketball in Tanzania, as well as further educate and promote the use of ecommerce and entrepreneurship amongst youth and without forgetting to bridge the digital divide between us and other parts of the world.
