From receiving payments and paying employees, to storing data and analysing trends, technological services underpin numerous business operations. Ensuring these services effectively operate is therefore essential for the smooth running of the business.
Notably, many companies – particularly small and medium enterprises – rely on telcos to provide these data and technology services.
Tigo Tanzania, for example, offers a whole portfolio of services for its business customers, including bulk SMS packages that let companies communicate with their customers at an affordable price and data solutions that keep businesses online.
Recently, Tigo unveiled their Customer Service Portal, which helps organisations achieve digital transformation and growth. The Portal provides users real-time visibility of their spending, so they can have total control over their accounts, and provides a channel to have their queries answered quickly.
Alongside this portfolio of business-specific services, Tigo Business also owns and operates the only Tier III Certified Data Centre in the country. At a time where data and information are priceless to companies, it is critical that it is safely stored and processed efficiently.
Companies like Tigo are leading the way when it comes to innovative technological solutions for businesses.
This is great news for Tigo customers, who are continuously benefiting from the new services provided.
Yet these services are set to be available to many more Tanzanians.
As was recently reported, Tigo has now merged with its sister company Zantel. This move will see the two companies combine their operations on both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
This is excellent news for customers, as both Tigo and Zantel customers will soon be able to enjoy services offered by both operators.
