By Our Correspondent, Comoros. EXIM Bank Tanzania has kept on strengthening its presence in the Comoros by opening its fifth branch at Mitsamiouli in Grand Comoros, in a move designed to take services closer to customers in the islands.
Exim Bank Comoros, a subsidiary of Exim Bank (Tanzania) has continued to strengthen its position as the fastest growing bank in the Union of Comoros.
Speaking during the branch’s inaugural ceremony held over the weekend, the Governor of the Central Bank of Comoros Mr. Mze Abdou Mohamed Chanfiou who was the chief guest commended the bank for its contribution in developing an effective, efficient and sustainable financial sector in the Union of Comoros.
“I would like to applaud Exim Bank for its efforts to bring services closer to the people of the Union of Comoros. The bank’s friendly approach and services offered have been remarkable and needed to be emulated,” said the Governor.
According to the Governor Mr. Mze Abdou Mohamed Chanfiou, the establishment of the Mitsamiouli Branch, will allow the Exim Bank in Comoros to possess a financial services platform closer to its market and clients.
For his part, the bank’s Country Head, Mr. Ganesh Kumar said apart from its expansion, the bank is also committed to bring in best technology for the benefit of the Comorians.
“The way we perform through our impressive customer care services which is our USP, that attract many customers who contribute to our fast growth and development,’’ he said confidently.
Further, speaking during the occasion, the Chief of the town of Mitsamiouli , expressed his satisfaction for the Exim Bank branch coming in to Mitsamiouli and extended full cooperation on behalf of the population of the town.
The inauguration was also attended by the Vice Governor of the Isles’ Central Bank, Chairman of the Board of Central Bank and the bank’s Local Director, Mr. Moumini Ali Amini.
