Dar es salaam, February 19 , 2015: First National Bank Tanzania has launched a home loans scheme offering more attractive terms to borrowers including a 20 years repayment period, bringing new hope to millions of Tanzanians who dream to have their own homes.
The First National Bank Tanzania Sales Manager, Emmanuel Mongella said during the official launch of FNB Home Loans yesterday in Dar es Salaam that the bank has now officially started to offer home loans, with competitive interest rates which are priced to customers based on the relationship with the bank and risk profile.
“Our customers can enjoy the easy processes and a quick turnaround time of only three days. And during the first three months of after the launch of this product we have given our customers a zero initiation fee, the customers will not pay the initial processing charges”, he said.
FNB believes that this new product will offer solutions to individuals seeking long term finances for construction, purchasing and renovation of houses. The FNB Home Loans mortgage can be repaid for a period of up to 20 years with interest rates that are negotiable”.
The FNB Home Loans Consultant, Patricia Nguma said the FNB Home loans will come in four packages namely; home completion loan, Home completion loan, Home equity loan and Home switch loan.
“FNB Home Loans is designed specifically to give customers the peace of mind when it comes to constructing and owning a house. The package also caters for a loan to rehabilitate and renovate a house. People from all walks of life are eligible for these loans,” she stated.
