AKIBA COMMECIAL BANK SET TO OPEN BRANCH IN MWANZA

Akiba Commercial Bank (ACB) plans to open a branch in Mwanza region this year, bringing to 17 the number of branches in the country.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam, ACB Head of Marketing and Communication, Mr. Fredrick Archard, said that the opening of Mwanza branch is the continuation of the bank’s expansion strategy.
“Many financial institutions in the country have been struggling to expand the scope of their services inline with the government’s goal of financial inclusion.
That is why Akiba Commercial Bank is now opening more branches in the country to ensure many people in need of financial services are served,” he said.
Mr Archard also said: “Mwanza is among the fastest growing cities in Tanzania due to the availability of many attractions which give opportunities to companies and various institutions to invest, therefore within this year, entrepreneurs in Mwanza will start getting our services”.
He insisted that the ACB Bank has always been at the forefront of extending banking solutions to customers, adding that the opening of a new branch in Mwanza will be another step towards improved access to the Bank’s services.
He pointed out that the move is in line with the bank’s idea of keeping the entrepreneurs’ needs as the focal point of its business.
“The opening a branch in Mwanza will bring our branches in the country into 17, and this demonstrates how we value our customers who come to our bank to get loans for improving and promoting their businesses,” he said.
Currently ACB has branches in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Dodoma. In ensuring that ACB bank is working efficiently, he said that their bank is now providing financial services to all its branches, giving other services such as ACB mobile banking as well as ATMs services connected to more than 180 Umoja switches countrywide.
