Dar es Salaam – NMB Bank has showcased its agriculture financing solutions at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (SabaSaba), highlighting its commitment to supporting stakeholders across Tanzania’s agricultural value chain, including farmers, crop buyers, processors, exporters and businesses involved in the importation of agricultural inputs.
Speaking at the NMB Pavilion during the trade fair, NMB Head of Agriculture – Wholesale Banking, Christopher Mwalugenge, said the bank continues to provide tailored financial solutions designed to address the unique needs of businesses operating within the agriculture sector.
He said NMB offers credit facilities that enable customers to purchase crops from farmers, undertake processing activities and supply both domestic and export markets, contributing to increased value addition and improved market opportunities for agricultural producers.
According to Mwalugenge, the financing support is particularly important during harvest seasons for key cash crops such as coffee, tobacco, sesame and cotton, when crop buyers and agribusinesses require adequate working capital to facilitate purchases, manage operations and maintain smooth trade cycles.
