As we bring 2025 to a close, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our clients, partners and friends for the trust and confidence you continue to place in Stanbic Bank. Your support has been central to our progress, and we remain deeply honoured by the opportunity to serve you.
This year marked a significant milestone for Stanbic Bank as we celebrated 30 years of service in Tanzania. For three decades, we have walked alongside our clients through changing economic landscapes, growing ambitions and expanding global connections. Throughout this journey, our purpose has remained clear—to contribute meaningfully to national development while helping our clients navigate an increasingly interconnected world.
At Stanbic Bank, Tanzania is our home, and we are firmly committed to driving her growth. In 2025, we delivered on this commitment through tangible action and measurable impact across key sectors.
Delivering Impact Where It Matters Most
Through targeted Corporate Social Investment initiatives in education, health, environmental sustainability and financial literacy, we positively impacted more than one million Tanzanians across the country. These efforts reflect our belief that sustainable growth is built on empowered and resilient communities.
Empowering Entrepreneurs and MSMEs
Entrepreneurship remains a cornerstone of inclusive economic growth. In 2025, the Stanbic Biashara Incubator reached close to 5,000 entrepreneurs, delivering practical, market-relevant support that strengthened financial capability, enterprise resilience, clean-energy adoption and regional trade participation.
Supporting National Development Priorities
Aligned with our purpose and the Government’s Vision 2050, we financed large-scale strategic projects in infrastructure, energy and other critical sectors. These investments, supported by strong partnerships, are designed to unlock long-term national value and accelerate Tanzania’s development agenda.
A Landmark Public Sector Partnership
In collaboration with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, we arranged Tanzania’s first local syndication of up to TZS 500 billion. This historic transaction is enabling transformative investments in the blue economy, including tourism, marine resources and critical infrastructure.
Expanding Access Through Digital Innovation
We continued to enhance financial access through innovation, launching short-term, digital, collateral-free loans of up to TZS 5 million, accessible entirely via mobile phones. This solution has empowered Tanzanians to meet urgent financial needs quickly and conveniently, without visiting a branch.
Recognised for Excellence
Our commitment to excellence was recognised by Euromoney, which named Stanbic Bank Best Private Bank, Best Investment Bank, Best Foreign Exchange Bank and Best Customer Experience Bank. These accolades affirm the high standards and client-centric culture we continue to uphold.
Championing Financial Inclusion
Alongside increased investment in technology, we expanded our physical footprint by opening new branches across the country, increasing our points of representation to 15 and bringing quality banking services closer to more communities.
Strong and Sustainable Performance
We closed the year with robust financial performance, with all key metrics tracking within targets and firmly aligned to our long-term strategic ambitions—reinforcing our resilience and readiness for the future.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we move into 2026, our focus remains on being a bank that stands with its clients through progress and transition. We will continue to expand our presence, strengthen the journeys of individuals and businesses, and invest in experiences that are more personal, more connected and more aligned to the needs of a modern economy.
On behalf of the entire Stanbic Bank Tanzania team, thank you for choosing us. Thank you for the trust you place in us, the conversations that shape our thinking and the partnerships that strengthen our work. We value every relationship and look forward to building an even more meaningful journey together in the year ahead.
I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful festive season and a successful, prosperous New Year.
