Vice President, Ms. Samia Suluhu Hassan, arrives at the King Mswati III International Airport in Mbabane, Swaziland yesterday.
Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan will lead the Tanzanian delegation to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Troika summit expected to commence tomorrow.
The 36th SADC Troika summit of heads of state and government is expected to discuss on the requests of Burundi and Comoro to join the regional block.
The Vice President jetted today to represent President John Magufuli in the 36th SADC Troika summit in which Tanzania will be handed over chairmanship of the regional block.
The summit will also be centred on the state of politics and security as well as democracy in the SADC.
The Tanzanian delegation includes Minister for Foreign Affairs, East Africa, Regional and International Cooperation, Dr Augustine Mahiga, Minister for Industry, Trade and Investments, Mr Charles Mwijage and Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar Minister for Trade, Industry and Markets, Ms Amina Salum Ali.
