TANZANIAN LEADERSHIP COACH AND PODCASTER AWARDED FOR ‘INVALUABLE LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT’

Murtaza G. Versi, Tanzanian trainer, coach and speaker on leadership and performance, was specially recognized by the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania (CEOrt) Board of Directors for offering invaluable leadership and support to the organization and leaders in general. The CEOrt gave this award at its recent Annual Gala Dinner held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel where members (Tanzania’s private sector) and government officials were in attendance to celebrate the year’s achievements in business.

Commenting on this honor, Versi said, “Today, professionals like myself are recognized for supporting the leaders that shape our country and the globe through the private sector. There was a time where good leadership wasn’t as emphasized, Tanzania and Tanzanians weren't looked at for it and for years we looked abroad, importing many skills and top talent including in training and coaching. So, to have a forum like CEOrt that highlights these individuals and the supportive functions it takes to continue to be impactful and active is magnificent to say the least. I am honored to be a part of it.”

With certifications from Talent Smart 2.0 and Leadershape Global, he has helped many companies in Tanzania and the region over the last 20 years turn their performance around. In 2021, Versi launched his ‘Engage-Relate-Perform’ podcast where he shares his knowledge freely to help build up current and aspiring leaders to be and give their best to their teams thus creating a culture of sustainable performance through values and transpersonal leadership. He tells the leadership narrative from the African perspective and highlights leadership in its many stages, shapes and sizes; creatively telling guest stories, offering invaluable insight and relevant commentary.

With blogging, podcasting and being awarded, what does 2022 have in store for Murtaza? “Lots of great stuff. I have an amazing team and am eager to reach more leaders and organizations across Africa and the world to ignite this shared purpose. Let’s all keep watching and listening.” That we certainly will do!
