Dar es Salaam, 19 June 2026 – Absa Bank Tanzania, in collaboration with the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs by hosting a comprehensive seminar focused on financial literacy, investment management, and business growth.
The seminar, held in Dar es Salaam, brought together women entrepreneurs from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their financial knowledge and equip them with practical skills to strengthen their businesses and improve long-term financial sustainability.
Speaking during the event, Absa Bank Tanzania Project Portfolio Manager, Ms. Munira Chambuso, pictured below, emphasized the importance of financial literacy in helping women entrepreneurs make informed business decisions, manage resources effectively, and unlock opportunities for growth through strategic investments.
The seminar also provided participants with a platform to engage directly with financial experts and industry stakeholders. Absa Bank Tanzania Citizenship and Events Manager, Ms. Abigail Lukuvi, pictured below, interacted with participants throughout the session, highlighting the bank’s ongoing efforts to support women-led enterprises through capacity-building initiatives and access to financial solutions.
Addressing the gathering, TPSF Director of Outreach and Membership Services, Ms. Kinanasy Seif, pictured below, underscored the critical role women entrepreneurs play in Tanzania’s economic development. She encouraged participants to leverage the knowledge gained from the seminar to strengthen their businesses and contribute more effectively to national economic growth.
The event further featured presentations from financial and business experts, including Absa Bank Tanzania Products and Channel Manager, Ms. Devroda Kagusa, pictured below, who shared insights on available banking products and digital financial solutions designed to support entrepreneurs in managing and expanding their businesses.
In addition to financial literacy and investment management, participants received valuable guidance on tax compliance and regulatory obligations. Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Taxpayer Education and Communications Officer, Mr. Zephania Mange, pictured below, provided education on taxpayer responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of compliance in building sustainable and successful enterprises.
