ZANTEL HANDS FIRST GRAND PRIZE OF ITS ‘JERO YAKO TU’ PROMOTION

05th March 2018, Dar es salaam. ZANTEL has today handed over a Suzuki Carry to the first lucky winner of the firm’s first grand prize in the ongoing ‘Jero Yako Tu’ campaign.
The prize giving event took place at Zantel’s headquarters office in Dar es Salaam which saw Mr. Twaha Abdallah Seif (40) a business man and resident of Kinondoni walk away with the first grand prize of the promotion. Along with Twaha other winners who received their prizes included;- Masoud Juma Haji and Nadhifa Kassim who won motorbikes, Rashid Suleiman Rashid and Salum Hamadi Simai who walked away bicycles which they won in the weekly prizes category. Others were Nyakulungu Kinanda and Moiz Juzza who both won a Moto C 4G smartphones.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Zantel Group Resources Africa-Operations, Wane Ngambi said, “We are thrilled to be giving away our very first grand prize and we remain confident that it will encourage other Zantel subscribers to participate in the ongoing promotion and emerge winners as well. It will be our pleasure to see more faces of Zantel subscribers walking away with grand prizes like these.”
Ngambi noted that the Suzuki Carry is commonly used for business here in Tanzania and that a little research they had done revealed that owners alone make good money, a conservative figure of between 25,000/- to 30,000/- per day earning him around 900,000/- a month and roughly 10.8m/- a year. He said Zantel will also help cover the costs for registration, road license and the whole year’s insurance for all of its winners.
On his part, Zantel’s Data & Devices Senior Specialist, Mr Hamza Zuheri said, since the promotion began in January 15, they have had 46 cash winners, 46, handset winners, 5 motorcycle winners, 18 bicycle winners and one Suzuki Carry winner to date.
According to Mr. Zuheri, ‘JERO YAKO TU’ promotion aims to reward and appreciate Zantel customers after a successful network modernization and the launch of 4G network across the 22 regions in Tanzania.
“We do not see any other better way to celebrate this achievement than with the people who got us here, our loyal customers,” said Zuheri.
He reminded subscribers that participating in the promotion is quite simple, all one needs to do is buy credit from as low as TZS 500 to automatically enter into the draw. However, he added that, to stand a chance of winning the fabulous prizes, one will have to recharge quite often for as much as they can.
He added prizes of the promotion range from a 4G Smartphone and 50,000 cash that can be won daily, a motorcycle and 4 bicycles that can be won weekly as well as 3 Suzuki Carry trucks to be won on a monthly basis.
