NATIONAL SOCIAL SECURITY FUND SUSPENDS 6 DIRECTORS, 5 MANAGERS

National Social Security Fund’s (NSSF) six directors and five managers have been suspended to pave way for investigations over alleged embezzlements, office abuse and violation of rules and regulations governing investment and project management.

Suspended are Director of Planning, Investment and Projects Yacoub Kidula, Director of Finance Ludovick Mrosso, Director of Administration and Personnel Chiku Matessa, Director of Disaster Control Sadi Shemliwa, Director of Internal Audit Pauline Mtunda and Director of Operations Crescentius Magori.

The suspended Managers with their departments in brackets are Amina Abdallah (Administration), Abdallah Mseli (Investments), John Msemo (Projects), Davis Kalanje (Chief Accountant) and Chedrick Komba (Temeke region).

According to a statement issued in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the suspension follow a number of audit queries on the financial statements and operations of the public pension fund that prompted the Board of Trustees to order the suspension. NSSF Director General’s office issued statement said the July 15, 2016 board meeting that Professor Samwel Wangwe chaired issued the suspension order.
