“The move is geared at provision of affordable and quality services to the Tanzanian market,” Airtel said in a statement. It said:”Approximately 55 members of the team will be affected by the initiative.”
“However, a good number of the employees will be offered alternative employment to partners who will be taking over management roles on an outsourced model.”
The statement released by Airtel Tanzania’s Corporate Communications Director, Ms Beatrice Singano stated that “The rightsizing exercise aligns the structure with the organization’s operational model”.
“The model will certainly result in a high performing organisation that will satisfy the needs of all our stakeholders, including the internal team and the customers that we serve.
