DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania – August 4, 2026 – The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Tanzania Private Sector Federation (TPSF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the growth of Tanzanian businesses by improving access to capital and enhancing enterprise development through the country's capital markets.

The strategic partnership marks a significant step toward empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by combining DSE's capital market expertise with TPSF's extensive private sector network to help businesses scale, attract investment, and achieve sustainable growth.

At the heart of the collaboration is the joint implementation of the DSE Enterprise Acceleration Program (DEAP) and the ENDELEZA Platform. These initiatives are designed to strengthen the capacity of SMEs by improving their investment readiness, enhancing business capabilities, and creating pathways to diverse financing opportunities.

Through the partnership, TPSF members will gain access to a range of business support services, including enterprise development training, mentorship programs, business profiling, and networking opportunities with investors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders within Tanzania's business ecosystem.

The initiative will also provide entrepreneurs with practical knowledge in critical areas such as corporate governance, strategic business planning, business valuation, capital-raising strategies, and preparation for participation in the capital markets. These skills are expected to position businesses for long-term growth while increasing their ability to secure sustainable financing.

Beyond capacity building, the MoU seeks to encourage greater participation of businesses from all regions of Tanzania in the capital markets. By expanding awareness of market-based financing solutions, the partnership aims to reduce reliance on traditional funding sources and promote the use of equity and other capital market instruments to finance business expansion.

The collaboration further supports Tanzania's broader agenda of fostering entrepreneurship, encouraging private sector-led growth, and creating employment opportunities through stronger and more competitive businesses.

By connecting growth-oriented enterprises with investors and long-term sources of capital, DSE continues to reinforce its role as a catalyst for economic development and financial inclusion. The partnership with TPSF is expected to contribute to a more vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem capable of driving innovation, productivity, and sustainable economic growth across the country.

As Tanzania's private sector continues to expand, initiatives such as the DSE Enterprise Acceleration Program and the ENDELEZA Platform are expected to play an increasingly important role in preparing businesses to access capital markets and unlock new growth opportunities.
