SANLAM AND ALLIANZ UNVEIL SANLAMALLIANZ BRAND IN TANZANIA

Dar es Salaam, October 23, 2025 – Sanlam and Allianz, two of the world’s leading insurance and financial services groups, have officially launched the SanlamAllianz brand in Tanzania. The unveiling took place at the Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, marking a significant milestone in the rollout of the brand across Africa.

The launch follows the 2023 merger between Sanlam and Allianz, which created SanlamAllianz Africa — now the largest non-banking financial services company on the continent, operating in 26 African countries. In Tanzania, the merger brings together SanlamAllianz General Insurance Tanzania Ltd and SanlamAllianz Life Insurance Tanzania Ltd, combining global expertise with local market experience.

The two companies will be led by Jaideep Goel, CEO of SanlamAllianz General Insurance, and Julius Magabe, CEO of SanlamAllianz Life Insurance. Together, they aim to strengthen the brand’s footprint in the Tanzanian market through innovative insurance solutions that promote financial inclusion and long-term financial security.

Speaking during the launch, Robert Dommisse, Chief Executive Officer for Life Insurance at SanlamAllianz, said the Tanzania launch marks an important step in expanding access to financial services across Africa.
