The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has continued its strategy of launching the NBC Business Club in various locations in Tanzania, which has so far launched the club in twelve locations, and today it has launched the NBC Business Club in Mtwara region. The inauguration took place at the venue of the NAF Beach Hotel, in Mtwara region and officially opened as TCCIA's Chairman, Mr. Said Swallah.
NBC Business Club is used as part of business management and customer loyalty strategy. The main purpose is the provision of non-financial support services through business skills training and capacity building for NBC business clients, as part of our journey in supporting them.
Speaking at the event, the Acting Business Officer of the Mtwara Regional Office, Mr. Amani Lusaki. congratulated NBC for coming up with a good idea for the Business Club which has brought together different businesses to motivate, educate and inform them about different business opportunities. He also mentioned the cultivation of Cashew, Cassava, and Oil as one of the region's opportunities and in the case of livestock with the greatest potential for meat and dairy products. He called on the NBC Business Club to support the traders of the Mtwara Region to capitalize on these opportunities so that they could lift the region's economy.
Honorable official guest, Mr. Said Swallah launching the NBC Business Club, said they talked about different opportunities including selling products abroad, and how to use cross-border businesses known as Cross Border Trade. Moreover, out-of-reach information has become a barrier, and through such a forum he has seen many can take advantage of this opportunity to enter and trade it and ultimately generate income and grow the economy of the Mtwara region.
"We started the business with Comoros in a very short period of time and TCCIA has been coordinating trade agreements between Comoros and Mtwara, but there are some who started trading after the landing. Subsequently, ships began to decline after the awakening in that opportunity. It is my hope that through the NBC Business Club, opportunities like this will never pass us by. ” Said Mr. Said Swallah.
NBC's Head of Product and Financial Services Headquarters Dar es Salaam, Mr. Jonathan Wilson Bitababaje concluded the launch by saying, they have set up a club with the ultimate goal of bringing their customers together so that they can connect in the business world and also train their NBC customers to get a great education to grow their business, and to run their business. in a competitive environment with the overseas market. "We provide them with in-house training and also provide them with exports to meet larger and larger businesses so that they can import products and get directly from the industry."

But we have also had so many opportunities that our business can get across Mtwara and we as a bank are ready to help them. ”
