DTB-Tanzania staff members led by the CEO Mr. Viju Cherian (second on the right), Parents of children with Autism and other well-wishers take part in World Autism Day walk on Tuesday 2nd April 2019. The 4 KM walk from Mbezi Chini Whitesands neighbourhood to Autism Centre in Africana, was organized by Autism Therapy and Behaviours learning centre with the aim of raising awareness of the condition in the Tanzanian society.
The event was officiated by the Chief Government Chief Medical Officer, Prof. Mohamed Bakari Kambi who represented the Minister of Health, Community Development, Gender, Seniors and Children, Hon. Ummy Mwalimu. More than 200 people took part in the charity walk which was titled “Walk for Voice and Hope – Autism awareness in Tanzania”.
