President John Magufuli shares a light moment with the newly-accredited Sudanese Ambassador to Tanzania, Mahjoub Ahmed Abdallah Sharfi shortly after receiving his credentials at the State House in Dar es Salaam yesterday.
President John Magufuli has invited business persons and investors from Sudan, Slovakia, Ukraine and Ghana to come and invest in various sectors of the economy in Tanzania.
He made the call yesterday after receiving credentials from four new envoys representing the four countries.
The envoys who presented their credentials at the State House in Dar es Salaam were Mr Mahjoub Ahmed Abd Allah Sharfi of the Republic of Sudan, Frantisek Dlhopolcek of Slovakia, Yevheni Tsymbaliuk of Ukraine and Kwame Asamoah Tenkorang of Ghana.
Dr Magufuli held talks with all envoys in separate occasions after receiving their credentials, where he insisted the importance of cementing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and their respective countries.
Dr Magufuli urged business persons and investors from Sudan, Slovakia, Ukraine and Ghana to come and invest in Tanzania in various sectors such as oil and gas, agriculture, fishing, national parks, mining and livestock keeping.
He told the Ukraine envoy that to woo businessmen and investors from his country to come and invest in industries as there is a reliable market for industrial goods and products.
The president also urged the Slovakian, Ukrainian and Ghanaian envoys, whose embassies are based in Nairobi, Kenya, to open their embassies in Tanzania to strengthen relations and cooperation between Tanzania and their respective countries.
