The week ending Friday 14th October, 2016 recorded a weekly market turnover of TZS 2.9 Billion, down more than 90% from last weeek's market turnover of TZS 32.5 Billion.
The volume of shares traded also decreased more than 94% from the previous week and closed this week at 0.5 Million shares traded. The market leaders in volume traded were CRDB at 53%, TBL at 41% and DSE at 4% of total volume of shares traded (i.e. of the 0.5 million shares traded).
DSE Market Capitalization for Week Ending 14th October, 2016
Friday 14th October saw the DSE Total Market Cap down 2.9% at TZS 20.9 Trillion compared to the previous Friday recorded cap of TZS 21.5 Trillion. However the domestic market capitalization experienced a stable 2 week period at TZS 8.1 Trillion with no change. This was also demonstrated by a 72 point drop equivalent to 2.9% on the DSEI index which represents all shares listed on the DSE.
