EXIM BANK TANZANIA LAUNCHES PREFERRED BANKING

Exim Bank Tanzania Head of Treasury, George Shumbusho explains the bank’s new Preferred Banking service to stakeholders at its launch in Dar es Salaam recently.
With the launch of Preferred Banking– a new service that offers high value customers a unique set of banking privileges and lifestyle benefits such as attractive discounts on shopping, dining, leisure, travel, hotel stay and a lot more; Exim Bank Tanzania has once again laid down another marker, in its rich yet relatively short history. This is evidence of the Banks commitment to remain the most innovative bank in Tanzania.

This exciting new initiative is tailored to exclusively benefit the middle to upper segment of SMEs and individual clients who are the key contributors to the Banks growth. This segment hitherto has been deprived of the special needs and recognition and the banking facility in line with their success and position. Preferred Banking is here to answer all these needs and more.

Speaking during the launch of the new proposition, Mr. Aloyse Maro – the bank's Product Manager said: "Preferred Banking is designed to meet the financial needs of high value customers in style. Customers will get a dedicated relationship manager, preferential treatment at our branches, preferential pricing across products and Lifestyle rewards & discounts on shopping, dining, leisure, travel, hotel stays and others."

Preferred Banking customers will also be able to experience 24/7 banking via the bank's Smart App, extended banking hours at select branches and access to a large & rapidly growing number of ATM machines nationwide.

"We understand the rapidly changing consumer expectations in terms of banking solutions. Preferred Banking will address the needs of the upwardly mobile population base of Tanzania – their exposure to global standards, their desire to be recognised and their drive to stand out from the crowd," affirmed George Shumbusho – the bank's Head of Treasury.

The launch of Preferred Banking marks another milestone in Exim Bank Tanzania's recent history. In Q4 of 2015, the bank announced the public issue of the first-ever Retail bond in Tanzania to raise up to TSH 15 billion.
