FIRST NATIONAL BANK TANZANIA OPENS TWO NEW BRANCHES IN DAR ES SALAAM

4th February 2015: First National Bank is extending its banking services to more areas in Dar es Salaam with the opening of two more branches in Sinza and Mbagala. This brings to seven the number of branches opened in Dar es Salaam in the last three years.

First National Bank Retail Banking Manager, Emmanuel Mongella said that the new branches will address the banking requirements of FNB Tanzania’s growing mainstream customer base and will serve its retail and business customers in both areas which has some of the fastest growing small and medium businesses. The two branches come with a distinctive package of services aimed at delivering full banking services tailored for the diverse needs of the consumers and businesses communities in the areas.

"We are very optimistic about the branches future growth and have an aggressive roll-out plan to open more branches in strategic locations starting with Arusha and Mwanza before the end of this year," said Mongella.

The FNB Channel and Distribution Manager, Masala Korosso emphasized that the bank has chosen these investment centres in the interest of the rapid growth of Dar es Salaam. In Sinza the new branch is located at Kijiweni area while in Mbagala the new branch is located at Rangi Tatu.

She said that Sinza and Mbagala remain beneficial in the investment segment and there was no better time than now for FNB Tanzania to step up its operations in the area. “Both Sinza and Mbagala are experiencing tremendous economic boom deeming it necessary for the FNB Tanzania to mark its presence in the list.”

The opening of the new two branches will compliment the services already provided by FNB Tanzania at Main Branch in Posta area, Kariakoo Branch in Uhuru Street, Industrial Branch at Quality Centre, Peninsula Branch in Oysterbay and Kimweri Branch in Msasani.
