Morogoro, July 17, 2026 – Kilombero Sugar Company Limited, one of Tanzania's leading sugar producers, has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the lives of communities surrounding its operations by supporting three community-driven infrastructure projects in the Kilombero Valley.
The company's latest investment will accelerate the completion of the Nyamvisi Village Office, the Ruaha Village Dispensary Laboratory, and the Patients' Waiting Area at Kidodi Health Centre, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to sustainable community development.
To support the projects, Kilombero Sugar donated 300 bags of cement, 300 units of 12mm steel reinforcement bars, and 150 tree seedlings, combining investment in essential public infrastructure with environmental conservation initiatives.

The support forms part of Kilombero Sugar's Creating Shared Value (CSV) strategy, which recognizes that sustainable business success is closely linked to the well-being of the communities in which it operates.

According to Victor Byemelwa, Communication and Stakeholder Relations Manager, the beneficiary selection process followed a comprehensive needs assessment that evaluated each project's impact on the community, the level of community ownership and readiness, and the availability of a clear implementation plan.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Kilombero Sugar Corporate Affairs Director, Derick Stanley, emphasized that the company remains committed to creating lasting value beyond its core business operations.

Meanwhile, Dr. Siriana Madumla, representing beneficiaries of the Patients' Waiting Area project at Kidodi Health Centre, said the donated construction materials would significantly accelerate completion of the facility, enabling it to serve thousands of people from surrounding communities.
