STANBIC BANK TANZANIA INTRODUCES ENTERPRISE DIRECT

Safer and Easier Banking Solutions for SME’s Via Phone and the Internet through Enterprise Direct

Leading the way in innovations for customer service, Stanbic Bank Tanzania has launched Enterprise Direct, a unique and convenient centre with a dedicated business banker who offers full range of banking services to SME’s directly through a toll free telephone number and by emails.

‘Enterprise Direct comes with a wide range of value added features, which will make it easier for our clients, especially the medium sized enterprises or SME’s to bank with us wherever they are. The focus is on migrating clients to digital self-service channels to make it easier for the customers to transact,” Stanbic Bank’s Head of Enterprise Banking, Christopher Gilbert Mlay, said.

‘”This new initiative will enable customers to conveniently and securely access their bank account through their phone by calling a toll free number, or via their laptops or tablets, wherever they are. The internet based electronic platform enables customers to enjoy a full suite of self-service capabilities covering domestic and foreign payments,’’ The Segment Head added.

Stanbic Bank’s Enterprise Direct relationship management capability will deliver a set of products and inbound services that are currently available in the branches namely; query resolution, cross selling, borrowing and investing. Outbound services available under the new platform will include advisory services, cross selling, reactivation of dormant accounts and on boarding of new clients via telephone and email to support business growth.

In trade, Enterprise Direct can be used to arrange for bank guarantees and letters of credit and for structured trade solutions. Foreign exchange transactions through competitive forex rates, forward cover rates and quick processing time with confirmation are also assured under our Enterprise Direct.

‘Asset based financing where the asset financed is the primary security with competitive interest rates and structured finance of between 12 – 60 months is also possible through Enterprise Direct. Finally users can access insurance cover at competitive rates for their fixed and movable property against theft, fire, accidental damage,’ Stanbic’s Head of Enterprise Banking concluded.
