EXIM BANK TANZANIA CUSTOMERS URGED TO COLLECT THEIR FAIDA CHIP AND PIN DEBIT CARDS


In its efforts to curb the prevailing cyber-crimes and provide customers with reliable and safe banking services, Exim Bank Tanzania has urged its esteemed customers to collect their Faida chip and pin Debit Card which was introduced in January 2015 to replace the existing Magnetic Stripe Faida Debit Card.

Faida chip and pin Debit Card provides enhanced security through an embedded chip that processes the customer’s data with unparallel security and hence making it virtually impossible to copy or tamper with.

According to a statement released by the Exim Bank’s Head of Operations, Mr. Eugen Masawe in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday said the deadline for card collection is on the 15th of April that makes only 13 days remaining from today.

“We urge our esteemed customers to collects their Faida chip and pin Debit Card which is more safe and secure compared to the existing Magnetic Stripe Faida Debit Card.

“Customers will not be able to use their old cards starting from the 15th of April, as their old cards will be disabled. Therefore, customers should visit their home branches for card collection,” Masawe said.

Exim Bank is committed to making sure customers are being provided with the best services and emphasizing on the collection of their Faida chip and pin Debit Card which will enable them conduct their daily transactions in more safe and secured manner.

“With Exim Bank international Faida chip and pin Debit Card, a customer can rest assured that his/her card transactions are safe and completely secure,” he added.

He further mentioned that the Faida chip and pin Debit Card allows a customer to access his/her account and perform transactions from any MasterCard certified ATMs and POS machines globally.
