NCBA GOLF SERIES 2025: NUMBERS THAT MATTER – MAISHA NI HESABU

The iconic TPDF Lugalo Golf Club in Dar es Salaam provided a fitting stage for the launch of NCBA Bank Tanzania’s flagship thematic campaign, Numbers That Matter – Maisha ni Hesabu, during the 2025 NCBA Golf Series. The tournament drew more than 140 golfers, alongside business leaders and policymakers, and served as the perfect platform to showcase how the Bank’s philosophy of intentional decision-making translates into real impact.

Representing NCBA at the launch, Rahim Suleiman, Head of Global Markets, emphasized that Maisha ni Hesabu is more than a slogan – it is a guiding principle for the Bank. He likened golf to finance, noting that every decision and every stroke carries consequences that shape outcomes. Whether it is families planning their future, businesses pursuing growth, or communities striving for sustainability, NCBA ensures that numbers are not only counted but that they truly matter.

The Guest of Honour, Major General Wilbert Ibuge, commended NCBA for using sport as a platform for empowerment while contributing to national progress. He applauded the campaign’s focus on accountability and inclusion, describing it as a philosophy that aligns with Tanzania’s development journey. He also praised NCBA’s investments in sustainability, pointing out that initiatives like Maisha ni Hesabu are vital in nurturing responsible citizens and resilient communities.

At the heart of the campaign are NCBA’s transformative solutions:

  • Asset Finance, providing individuals and businesses with flexible access to vehicles, equipment, and tools critical for growth.
  • Bancassurance, integrating insurance with banking to offer customers protection and financial stability.
  • NCBA Now App, expanding digital access and empowering thousands of Tanzanians to seamlessly track their numbers, make informed financial decisions, and bank conveniently from their mobile devices.

These services are part of a holistic strategy that ensures progress is measurable and sustainable. NCBA’s pledge to plant 10,000 trees across Tanzania by 2025—including 5,000 already planted along River Mpiji in Bunju B—is proof that even environmental stewardship can be counted and tracked as a number that truly matters.

Now in its fourth year, the NCBA Golf Series has grown beyond sport. It is a platform for inclusion, offering youth and women golfers opportunities to excel, while also serving as a networking arena for business leaders to share ideas and forge partnerships.

The 2025 tournament concluded with the crowning of three champions, who earned the honor of representing Tanzania at the NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale in Kenya. Their victories were not only personal triumphs but also moments of national pride, showcasing Tanzanian talent on a regional stage.

By the end of the day, one message rang clear: NCBA is more than a bank. It is a partner in progress, a catalyst for growth, and a driver of sustainable change. Through Numbers That Matter – Maisha ni Hesabu, NCBA is demonstrating that ambition aligned with purpose always adds up to impact — in Tanzania, across the region, and beyond.
