ABSA CROWNED MOST PREFERRED CONVENIENCE AND ACCESSIBLE BANK IN EASTERN & SOUTHERN AFRICA

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — Absa Bank has been named the Most Preferred Convenience and Accessible Bank in Eastern and Southern Africa at the prestigious Consumer Choice Awards Africa 2025, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to customer-centric service delivery and accessible banking solutions across the region.

The awards ceremony, held in Dar es Salaam on Sunday, brought together industry leaders, innovators, and consumer champions from across the continent to celebrate excellence in service delivery. In one of the highlight moments of the evening, Absa Bank Tanzania’s Head of Customer Network, Ms. Irene Mwilongo, led a team of staff to proudly display the award shortly after receiving it on behalf of the bank. Her presence symbolized the frontline efforts of the bank’s customer-serving teams who consistently deliver convenience to Tanzanians and customers across the region.

Ms. Mwilongo later received the award officially from Ms. Balqis Njuki, a representative of the award organizers, during the glamorous Consumer Choice Awards Africa 2025 ceremony.
