26 November 2025, Dar es Salaam — Vodacom Tanzania PLC has officially ushered in the festive season with a spirit of giving, rounding off its 25-year anniversary celebrations. Through its festive campaign, the company reaffirms its Tupo Nawe Tena na Tena promise—connecting with consumers on the ground by celebrating, rewarding, and sharing joy across communities.
Speaking at the launch, Philip Besiimire, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vodacom Tanzania PLC, said the initiative goes beyond festive cheer, strengthening customer relationships while enhancing overall experiences as part of the company’s mission to bridge digital gaps and promote shared progress.
“Vodacom has transformed lives through connectivity and innovation. This festive season, we celebrate our customers, partners, and communities who make our journey possible,” said Besiimire, emphasising that Vodacom remains Mtandao Super Unaokuunganisha na Uwapendao.
On her part, Brigita Stephen, Director of the Commercial Business Unit (CBU), noted that the campaign will distribute 600 festive baskets (Makapu) filled with holiday essentials, complemented by exclusive offers for customers who pay with M-Pesa across various locations.
“Our festive campaign is customer-first—affordable, convenient, and full of value. Through the Makapu initiative, we give back to communities while celebrating our customers,” she said, adding that the initiative underscores Vodacom’s commitment to social impact.
To enhance festive convenience, Epimack Mbeteni, Director of M-Pesa, announced special offers including up to 100% discounts on SGR tickets, free fuel at selected stations, and 10% cashback at major supermarkets and hospitality outlets (HoReCa).
“M-Pesa makes festive payments smarter and more rewarding. With fuel offers and 10% cashback, we are enhancing convenience while strengthening Tanzania’s digital payments ecosystem,” he added.
On enterprise solutions, Nguvu Kamando, Director of Vodacom Business, unveiled tailored festive offers for SMEs, such as 15% off Bulk SMS packages, two months free car-tracking subscription, and 20% discounts on car-tracking devices.
“Vodacom Business is enabling enterprises and individuals to stay connected with special festive offers,”said Kamando.
