DODOMA RC CALLS FOR TIMELY COMPLETION OF NMB-SPONSORED SECONDARY SCHOOL IN BAHI

The Dodoma Regional Commissioner, Rosemary Senyamule, has urged for the timely and high-quality completion of the Inclusive Secondary School project in Bahi District, emphasizing that the construction must meet the standards promised by its sponsor, NMB Bank.

The inclusive school is being built by SUMA JKT under a sponsorship worth approximately TZS 4.5 billion from NMB Bank.

Senyamule said the amount contributed by NMB is substantial and must produce tangible results, noting that the bank has honored Tanzanians with special needs by enabling their access to education.

The Regional Commissioner commended NMB Bank for uplifting the image of Dodoma Region through the construction of modern, high-quality buildings.

On behalf of the Sixth-Phase Government under President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, we thank NMB Bank. They have greatly honored us — TZS 4.5 billion is not a small amount. As the President’s representatives, we are satisfied; thank you very much,” said Senyamule.

She directed the project supervisors to avoid any excuses, stressing that the funds come from a reliable institution and insisting that the building be ready in time for students to start classes in January 2026.

Consolata Kajange, the project supervisor from SUMA JKT, reported that construction has reached 86 percent completion and is progressing well, with expectations to finish on schedule. She added that the inclusive secondary school for students with special needs in Bahi is being built to meet all required accessibility standards.

The project officially started on April 15, 2025. It includes the construction of one administration block, six classrooms, two laboratories, two dormitories, and a kitchen and dining hall. It is fully funded by NMB Bank and executed by SUMA JKT, Central Zone,” said Kajange.

She noted that all seven buildings are in their final stages, though additional works remain — including the construction of matron’s and patron’s houses, installation of a 940-meter perimeter fence, building a guardroom, and planting 600 trees within the school compound.

Engineer Kajange emphasized that no funds have been withheld contrary to the agreement with NMB and affirmed there are no valid reasons for delays, pledging to deliver the completed project on time.

The school’s key distinction will be its fully accessible, student-friendly environment, designed to ensure learners with disabilities can pursue education comfortably and without barriers.
