BANK OF AFRICA TANZANIA INTRODUCES VISA GOLD USD CARD WITH EXCLUSIVE FEATURES

Bank of Africa Tanzania has launched its VISA Gold USD Card, a newer version designed to give customers with USD accounts the opportunity to access their funds from anywhere in the world.

The card offers enhanced convenience, security and various benefits, making it easier than ever for customers to manage their money locally and internationally.

Speaking at the launch ceremony in Dar es Salaam, Bank of Africa Tanzania Chief Digital Officer, Lameck Mushi highlighted advanced security and convenience features of the new card.

The Visa Gold USD Debit Card features chip and PIN technology and contactless payments to ensure our customers enjoy a safe, fast, and hassle-free experience when making purchases, whether in supermarkets, hotels, clothing stores, or petrol stations, in and outside Tanzania,” said Mr. Mushi. “This card allows customers to make transactions with peace of mind, knowing that their money will be safe.”

Mr. Mushi underscored that Bank of Africa is deliberately empowering its customers through best services as the newly introduced card will be also available to its all 18 branches across the country.

He noted that the card is more safe and secure to the customer as the card has international security standards that protect any digital theft attempt once it is stolen or lost.

Head of Retail Banking at Bank of Africa Tanzania, Asupya Nalingigwa highlighted the great benefits that customers could enjoy with the VISA Gold USD Card.

Our customers will enjoy unique benefits with this new card, including 24/7 customer service worldwide, international medical and legal assistance, and discount offers at VISA partner merchants locally and internationally".

In addition, customers will enjoy benefits such as car rentals, protection insurance and special offers on online learning. The VISA Gold USD Card offers great foreign exchange (FX) benefits, making it an ideal choice for customers who frequently engage in international transactions.

By using this card, customers can avoid hassles and expenses of currency exchange fees when making purchases or withdrawing funds in foreign currencies. Transactions made in US Dollars will be processed directly without additional currency conversion, making it a cost-effective solution for international payments. In addition, the card is optimised for online shopping, enabling customers to make secure, hassle-free online purchases.

Whether it is purchasing electronics, fashion or storing money, the VISA Gold USD Card provides a fast and secure way for customers to complete their online transactions with ease.
